The “Ventures” of ADL Ventures does not indicate we have capital to deploy (we do not currently), but it does reflect the company's goal: to Assess, Develop and Launch new climate tech ventures.

ADL has built a portfolio of new ventures in partnership with both entrepreneurs and corporates across multiple infrastructure-heavy industries. Unlike a traditional fund, we have earned equity in our ventures as entrepreneurs do: by helping develop and launch new companies as founding team members, or by helping nascent businesses accomplish major milestones in a hands-on and/or an advisory capacity. Our portfolio is built from both the open innovation challenges we have managed on behalf of private sector energy leaders, national laboratories and other government organizations, as well as from the intellectual property we have spun out from leading incumbent corporations.
