Nathaniel Zorach

Nat M. Zorach, AICP, MBA is focused on the equitable decarbonization of the built environment. His career began in St. Louis as a designer-in-residence with Theaster Gates, Jr., before ending up in Detroit, where he contributed to the city's first Climate Action Plan, managed real estate development initiatives, and received recognition from the governor’s office for developing a design standards guide for the energy-efficient renovation of affordable housing. He continues to advocate for a balance of social and technical innovation at the intersection of housing policy, building codes, design standards, and financial tools to build more equitable cities. He joined ADL Ventures in 2024.

Nat holds a BA from Grinnell College, an MBA from American University, and studied sustainability in Germany through the German-American Chambers of Commerce and the POCACITO program. He lives in Detroit.
